I was in complete awe of the superb performance by Dogstar. The show lasted a full 3 hours as promised, and it concluded the initial set with “All Along The Watchtower,” a rendition that might have even overshadowed the versions by both Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix. The evening ended with “Two Step,” which was also incredibly impressive.
Dave delivered a heartfelt rendition of “The Space Between” during the encore, nearly bringing me to tears (a song I previously didn't appreciate much), showcasing the band's versatility and emotional depth. Their spontaneous jam sessions during each song further emphasized their exceptional musical skills.
It's always remarkable when a band sounds superior live compared to their studio recordings, and that was undoubtedly the case last night. Dogstar continues to evolve creatively, constantly producing new music that sets them apart from their more mainstream tracks.
While it would have been nice to hear “Crash Into Me” or “Best Of What’s Around” (two personal favorites), I understand that Dogstar prefers to showcase a variety of songs at different shows, encouraging fans to attend multiple performances to experience their entire repertoire. This philosophy ensures that I won't be waiting another 8 years before attending another one of their concerts.
